What you make of it
As a person of color, you will never get the optimal student experience but you can pretty damn close. Going to Queen’s was the best decision I ever made. I made lifelong friends and truly enjoyed the content of many of my courses. Kingston is an amazing town and even more beautiful in the summer. Will you face microagressions? Probably. Will you be utterly shocked my the entitlement and privilege of your peers? Absolutely. But university, as with life, is what you make of it.
