I had an overall positive experience at Carleton University. Over my 5 years at the insitustion I was able to get access to resources that helped me succes as a student. This includes accomidations for my disabity and being able to use the on campus pharamcy. This also includes my used of Career services who helped me refine my resume, cover letters, and statments of intent for grad school. The overall campus was easy going and laid back and the sense of community was great on campus. You get out what you put into it, if you dont try and get involed and use what is around you, you will not get much out. While not everything was perfect such as in my experience both living on campus as a student and working of the universiy as a residence fellow. Overall the academic porition of the school was amazing. I did my degree in Neuroscience and Mental health and while challenging, I felt like all my proff’s we fair in teaching style and fair in marking. They were always accomidating especially so during COVID, as well as clear about thier expectation and always willing to give feedback.
View moreif you are interested in the social perspective of the world then I can tell you that this university has the best departments of psychology, neuroscience, and sociology. These departments not only teach you the topics covered in the textbooks but also apply them and encourage you to do so in your university community. Professors and teaching assistants will be concerned about your mental health, and wellness. They will consider the course load on you and give you extra time to do your best regarding your needs and circumstances. They emphasize learning in a healthy environment rather than focusing on the required grades. You will achieve your final best grade without losing your passion and mental strength. Additionally, these departments affect the rest of the majors as they apply and share their wellness techniques among the whole campus. hence, kindness and learning approachable techniques are available through all courses. I would recommend this university if you want to have a very sufficient degree that you earned because of passion and want to proceed with good mental strength and strong wellness to proceed with your career.
View moreThe University is amazing, nice and calm location, easy transportation, supportive environment and the faculty are the best people I have met however you have to work hard especially if considering grad school.
View moreThe Neuroscience program is very interesting and allows students to learn more in-depth information about the human body and anatomy, specifically the nervous system, compared to a normal Biology program. Carleton is also a great university to explore many different areas of study as they offer a wide range of programs and courses.
View moreI liked everything about my bachelor’s degree, it was difficult but worth it, I learned so much and met lots of great people. Compared to high school this course was completely another level much harder and more effort needed.
View moreAt Carleton University I have had a wonderful time learning and developing important life skills. The excellent neuroscience faculty repeatedly offer support and intellectual enrichment, and the education I receive in my regular classes leaves me hungry for more. The program has taught me valuable life skills as well as a comprehensive knowledge of the brain, and human physiology.
