View moreI thoroughly enjoyed studying at the University of Aberdeen and would recommend it highly. Courses are well-organized, up to date and research oriented. University is international and non-discriminatory. Most lecturers have an open door policy, which makes learning much easier and enjoyable.
View moreTeachers provide only updated information, many of them actually work in that area, so that the knowledge is not only theoretical but practical. I have obtained skills that can be used in work, e.g. writing reports and policy briefs.
There are plenty of extracurricular activities related to environmental management. For example, I used to be an intern at Green Economy Research Centre helping to coordinate events dedicated to sustainability.
Students can join university societies according to their interests. There are about 150 that helps gain new skills and socialise. For instance, I was a member of Abergreen society helping to improve sustainability on campus.
Additionally, being abroad and experiencing several difficulties, I have always felt supported. I could easily contact the Student Support group that did their best to solve mental health issues and those related to studies or daily life.
In sum, I would recommend this university to anyone who wants to get a good quality education and have an amazing student life.
View moreThe University does a great job at making every student feel as if they are apart of the close-knit community, rather than just a number. Walking every day on the stunning campus is an absolute highlight. The professors are also very knowledgeable, and truly care about how you do in their classes. Overall, I would recommend the University of Aberdeen, as the student life mixed with the great academic opportunity is well worth it.
View moreI have loved studying at the University of Aberdeen for the last four years. The LLB Law course is challenging but very rewarding and with so many opportunities both within University and outwith. The campus is beautiful and historic and the University is well respected. The Duncan Rice Library is an asset to the University providing a modern touch but also a brilliant place to study. Help is always available from lecturers who in my experience have always gone above and beyond to help their students succeed.
View moreUniversity of Aberdeen is a great place for a Bachelor’s degree. The curriculum is very well thought out. The lecturers seem passionate about their fields. They always explain their topics well and give examples of additional literature that could help us out further or perhaps spark our interest for something new. It’s easy to follow missed lectures with recordings. Most of the student accommodation, not only the one offered from the university, is really close by, so you don’t have to spend money on transport. There are many opportunities for practical work and labs on what you are studying, but you can also explore other subjects if you want to.

View moreThis is my third year studying here Film and Visual Culture and International Relations! I have to admit some classes could be organized better but I’ve seen an improvement since my first year, which means that the students evaluations and reviews of classes are being taken into account! The campus is gorgeous and basically everything is on the same location so you don’t have to go far from one building to the other. The student life is great, there are many societies and sports teams to make meeting people very easy!
