Waterloo had an excellent BA program for sociology studies with a wide array of classes and subject matter available. There’s options to pursue specializations in the field along with a top tier co-op program that helps students gain valuable work experience in their field of study.
View moreIn the University of Waterloo’s Science and Business program you learn lots. Often seen as a Jack of all trades master of none type of degree, many people discount how valuable the skills you learn in both your science classes and your business classes. These classes and this program help you hone and develop your skills so you can adapt to the every changing landscape of the labouring force. Overall it is an awesome program!
View moreThe University of Waterloo is seen as one of the worlds most innovative campus’s and schools, but is this true. Yes it definitely is, the university of waterloo is full of people who have a drive towards goals and this is what drives Waterloo’s innovation. The university does a great job of leveraging all you can bring to the table and even giving you a bit more then just that.
View moreSince beginning my studies at the University of Waterloo, I have met many people of many different origins all with lofty goals to improve the world as they see fit. I believe the University of Waterloo does an amazing job leveraging this drive for success of the students and puts all the students in a position to succeed with whatever they would like. The staff is supportive with amazing Profs, as well as easy to access school content through the d2l platform.
View moreLike: good famous, good resources, good education amazing coop
dislike: focussed mostly on maths and engineering students rather than everyone and all the other programmes. understandable as they are famous for these faculties but more faculties with more focus would be better
I would highly recommend coming to Waterloo’s health science program! From the world-renowned professors to the tight-knit community.
Something I love to emphasize is our community because ASHUM which starts for the Association of Health Students Undergraduate Members is amazing at keeping a welcoming and fun environment. As a first year, I truly felt like the university was my HOME. I knew everyone straight from the start because our program was so small.
Furthermore, Waterloo offers co-op for health science students, giving them the front hand in getting research opportunities for applying to medical school, dental school, etc. and exploring career options.
View moreHi there the University of Waterloo’s Liberal Arts degree program was challenging but interesting I had the option to take a wide variety of courses to maximize interest and learning potentials however I found psychology was challenging. Most of the professors were good some were really good and others were okay. I could not find a meaningful job after I graduated and am planning on going back to school i.e. college to get an employable job skillset. If I were to advise students on what program to choose, I would suggest choosing a program that can maximize your goal options, keep doorways open and hopefully land you a job after you graduate. Overall my university career was okay but it was not exceptional.
View moreMy experience at the University of Waterloo has been positive for the most part. I’ve enjoyed most of the lab experiences as they provide a unique experience. However, the course sequence could use some work as it does not completely allow the students to succeed in later years of the program.
View moreWaterloo community is a well built family, and the support systems from peers to professors to staff have made my university experience very good. Exploring my program, I realize it has everything I want, covering science and marketing, helping me pursue my passions in the future.
View moreI have only been a student at University of Waterloo for a year now; something significant I have noticed is the amount of energy professors put into their classes as well as their students themselves. Creating that connection between professor and student is not only crucial to mental health but also makes it easier to get up each day and head to class
