The University of Waterloo is a great school with endless amounts of resources to use to help elevate your skills to prepare yourself for working. Being a university with its own Faculty for Math they have many courses that many other schools would not have. Some of the courses themselves are pretty difficult, and I did struggle with a few math courses, but in the end the pay off is great. One of the main reasons is Co-Op. During your 5 year program you can gain up to 2 years of work experience before you even graduate. That is a big boost that others do not have. With the abundant resources available, you can prepare yourself for graduation in the way you want to, and believe it is best for you. Even with all the struggles I have been through I do not regret my choice.

View moreThe Mathematics department at the University of Waterloo is fairly difficult, requiring one to be able to learn quickly and independently, much outside the confines of class time. This is not a program for those who wish to slack off.
Most of the textbooks are free, and you can download any that aren’t. Overall, a hard, yet useful program that will challenge your math skills, even if you are good at math. They don’t call it the MIT of Canada for nothing.
View moreI find this program to be very challenging, but in the best way. As an Honours Mathematics student, I find that I am constantly being challenged, but I feel as if I am leaning a lot by being in the program.
View moreThey use innovative learning methods which makes the courses easier and fun to learn. The student helping facilities are also really responsive and help the students in every way they can. It’s also easy to mix in with their lifestyle even though I’m an international student.
