Western University offers a great orientation program for first-year students, however, the support is limited following this. I found that initially, students find they have opportunities to interact with others however, over time, these opportunities are limited. Compared to other post-secondary institutions in Canada, Western University is very individualist and there is a lack of support systems that prioritize students.

Being over two hours away from my hometown, I had no idea what to expect out in London. After completion of my first year, I can honestly say that Western is a great school and I couldn’t be happier with my choice. From the friendly and brilliant professors to the cooperative and welcoming student body, from residence life to academic kinship, Western University truly is a place for you to grow as a student and a person.
