The University of Guelph provides many excellent academic resources to its students including updated learning curriculums, academic and personal counseling, and collaboration opportunities with student internships and co-ops. During my experience with the University of Guelph, I was encouraged to get out of my comfort zone to become more proactive and involved with extracurricular activities. The community surrounding the university is inclusive and welcoming, which allowed students to smoothly transition from their secondary schools into the post-secondary institution.

View moreThis school offers an amazing campus filled with some of the best food services I’ve ever experienced. The science buildings are extremely new and state-of-the-art, making learning here all the more enjoyable. The program also offers a diverse course catalogue with many classes to choose from in order to meet each student’s specific needs, and gear you towards your desired career path. Most professors are eager to assist you when they can, and the work-life balance is extremely beneficial to social students. Classes use a lot of group work which can be both detrimental and beneficial in some cases and has allowed me to meet some lifelong friends. The student population is not diverse at all, however, everybody is genuinely kind and eager to assist you with any needs you may have. Overall, attending this school was the best decision I ever made and has allowed me to flourish over the past four years, and the Molecular Biology and Genetics program in particular has adequately prepared me for the next steps in my academic career.
