Nearly all the professors I have had since enrolling at SFU have all been amazing, organized, and understanding to their students. I believe this is a testament of the quality of SFU’s education, and as such I have always enjoyed my education here. My only gripe with SFU is the social life on campus, which could use improvements in its facilitation, though luckily there are plenty of clubs on campus to join.
View moreEven though I’ve only been at SFU for a little less than six months, I already adore the institution. I love this institution and the people here because of the architecture, the people, the history, and the knowledge.
I made a commitment to myself during my first few months at SFU that I would participate in any extracurricular activities offered by the university in order to get to know more students. Since then, I’ve become actively involved in three clubs with the intention of taking advantage of further chances at this institution.
My major has introduced me to some fantastic people. I’m presently enrolled as a Criminology major, where I’m learning about various legal information, particularly criminal law, and how it relates to our contemporary society. In both my tutorial sessions and my lecture rooms, I’ve met a number of people who share my interests. These people’s admiration for the judicial system made me feel at home, and I was in awe of them!
Despite the fact that I have not been a student for very long, I will state that as I continue my studies at SFU, I aim to learn more about the various faculties and departments.

View moreEvery criminology professor I had was always encouraging and wanted us to succeed in their course. In each criminology course I took, I could tell the professor were really experienced and passionate about what they were teaching. This made me even more interested in class due to their passion. I would recommend people to take at least one criminology course during their undergrad because I think the professor makes the courses a lot more interesting.
View moreThe program can sometimes get a bit repetitive and have sone unnecessary courses. But studying cases is an exciting part of the subject. And the three semester system does not seem to be very reasonable.
View moreI would recommend coming to SFU to study Criminology because the professors are very knowledgeable and the classes covered a great range of interesting topics. Criminology Advisors are very helpful too. There are a lot of volunteering and work opportunities within SFU which will help you make friends and feel like it is your home away from home!
View moreThe CRIM program at SFU is great. They offer a lot of courses that go beyond the basics of crime. The most intriguing to me was Family Violence and Criminal Justice. The professors within this program really care about what they teach and the students. I’ve found most of my TAs to be super nice and helpful. In regard to the student life, the school offers many clubs and co-curriculars. There are constantly events all around campus to engage the students.
View moreThe program is great and convenient as many classes are offered remotely or as distance education with asynchronous lectures. The professors are super nice and available for helping with assignments and career prospects.
