Mixed experience. There have limited opportunities but a co-operative environment for doing something better. Some teachers have ego issues but instead of some lackings there’s some student friendly Professors also.
Need to improve lab facilities and researche facilities.
Best campus life experience ever, i will definitely cherish my campus life.
Yeah moderately recommended for mid level students.
CUET is a well-known engineering university in Bangladesh and overall it has a good reputation. The campus environment is good.. really helps students focus on their studies. The academic pressure is high, but that actually pushes students to improve themselves. Some teachers are really good and friendly. They explain topics clearly, help students understand difficult concepts, and support us in projects and research work. When you get a good teacher here, you can learn a lot.
However, not everything is perfect. Some sir are not very cooperative and their teaching style is not effective. Sometimes classes feel boring because they just read from slides. Lab facilities in some departments are not good enough. A few labs have old equipment, and practical learning does not always match the theory properly. I think the university should improve these areas.
Overall, CUET is a good place for engineering students, especially if you are self-motivated and hardworking. It has both good and bad sides, but the experience helps you grow. I would recommend it, but with realistic expectations.
View moreMy experience at Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) has been generally positive. The university offers a solid academic foundation in engineering, and the courses are structured to cover both theory and practical work.
The faculty members are knowledgeable, and many are supportive when students seek help. Classes can be challenging, but they help build a strong understanding of core subjects. Lab sessions are an important part of the programme, although some facilities could benefit from updates and better maintenance.
The academic workload is manageable but requires consistency. There are regular assignments, quizzes, and exams, which keep students engaged throughout the semester. The campus environment is calm and focused, which is helpful for studying. Being a residential campus, it also creates a close-knit student community.
There are extracurricular and technical club activities available, though opportunities for industry exposure and internships could be improved further. Administrative processes can sometimes be slow, which is one area that could be streamlined.
Overall, CUET provides a decent engineering education with a structured academic environment. It’s a good choice for students who are prepared to stay committed and take responsibility for their own learning.
View moreI am currently studying in the 3rd year, 6th term at Chittagong University of Engineering & Technology (CUET). Over the past three years, my experience at this university has been quite positive. The faculty members are highly qualified and experienced, and the academic environment is commendable.
The campus is peaceful and serene, offering a calm and pleasant atmosphere conducive to study. At present, there are six residential halls for male students and three for female students. The university has a total of twelve academic departments.
Although the laboratory facilities are comparatively limited, they are not inadequate. Each department is supported by well-qualified and competent faculty members.
This is one of the top 4 Public Universities of Bangladesh, as a result highly meritorious students from all over the country get admitted here through merit.
The academic culture is good with quality teachers and equipment facilities. Students graduating from here are doing good in both inside and outside the country. Professional people values this university and marks as a brand to recruit potential engineers in various fields.
Beside the academic excellence, Chittagong University of Engineering
View moreChittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) offers a disciplined and academically rigorous environment for students pursuing engineering and technology. The curriculum is well structured and emphasizes strong theoretical foundations alongside practical application, which prepares students effectively for both industry and higher studies.
View moreCUET provides a highly competitive academic environment with a strong focus on engineering fundamentals. The workload is demanding, but the discipline and problem-solving skills gained are valuable for motivated students.
View moreAlthough CUET has a very green and beautiful campus, its academic environment, rules and regulations, teaching approach, and facilities are not very up to date. To keep pace with the modern world and ensure a truly world-class education system, comprehensive reforms at CUET are necessary.
View moreI attended this university about 10 years ago, where I completed my undergraduate degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. Looking back, my experience was a mix of strong foundational learning and areas that clearly needed modernization. The program itself had a lot to offer in terms of breadth. The curriculum structure ensured that we developed strong analytical skills and a good understanding of engineering fundamentals. However, one of the main drawbacks at the time was that many of the courses did not have up-to-date content. The syllabus in several subjects felt outdated. While the foundational theory was strong, there was limited exposure to contemporary tools, software platforms, and industry-relevant technologies that were becoming standard elsewhere. On the positive side, some courses were well designed. These subjects stood out because they combined clear theoretical instruction with practical application. The accompanying laboratory sessions for these courses were well-equipped and thoughtfully structured, allowing students to reinforce concepts through hands-on experiments.
