If you walk around campus, you are most likely to be greeted with smiles and welcomes.

I think a big reason why our campus is so friendly is that the University works hard to create a culture where everyone is respectful towards each other. They’ve done this through message boards, email reminders, and various events that encourage and give people the opportunity to learn more about others.

Therefore, whenever I talk about my uni to a relative or a friend, I always highlight the friendliness of peple on campus!

Honestly great University when building friendships and networking. Very theoretical as a University with a greater workload than other Universities in Victoria. However, would recommend to students if they have a passion within higher education and research.

I love unimelb so much. The environment and facilities provided by the University are great. Unimelb built a new building named the art and cultural building last year, which benefits me a lot such as a huge dancing room. I love dancing so much and thus having a new dancing room is more convenient than before. Also, there are more study areas that are very good for me and other students.

Great subject options and a large number of classes, and smaller tutorials enable you to feel like you are being heard by the teacher. Great access to many libraries which are open late. Great support system both with teachers and well as student services.

One thing I enjoy about my years at the University of Melbourne is extra club activities. I’ve been a part of multiple club committees and the University works together with students to ensure their safety, enjoyment while on campus, and support.

The University lives up to its expectation as being the number 1 university in Australia. With amazing staff and lectures it provide students with the knowledge to succeed in their career. However, the university has an elitist feel where students who have wealthy backgrounds are more likely to succeed.

The university provides you with professional skills and knowledge and enough freedom and encouragement to discover what you really like and want to do. There is nothing wrong with whatever you want to do, it is only about the motivation from the deepest of your heart.

In the start, I really wanted to learn things and make the best of it but as I enter the last year, I have realized that it’s all just a buisness. I’m seeing my friends fail one subject after another and all aren’t learning anything but just want to pass. The academic pressure is huge and there are absolutely NO EXTRACURRICULARS in this university. NO INTRAMURALS, NO HOUSEPARTIES, NO BALLS AND NO FUN.
