I’ve faced several challenges with the University that have left me frustrated. For weeks, I’ve been locked out of the University website, which has caused significant disruptions to my studies. During exams, I’ve encountered multiple technical issues, and the response has been less than helpful—either I’m forced to accept the result or retake the exam without any real assistance.

Despite having three different lecturers cover the same material, I still struggle to grasp the concepts and apply them to assessment questions. Additionally, I often have difficulty understanding their English, which further hampers my learning.

There’s no tutoring support available for business subjects, so if you need extra help, you’ll have to pay for it externally. When I requested additional practice exams to better prepare, the response was disappointing—basically a “computer says no” reply that took several days to address.

Overall, I am extremely disappointed with the level of support and resources provided for the cost of this education. The University seems more focused on profit than genuinely helping students, and I feel it’s not a place I can trust for my academic growth.

Deakin University is fantastic. Both the curriculum and the educational environment are first-rate. The overall goal of Deakin University is to offer a well-rounded education that includes intellectual development, career advancement, and personal growth. Its dedication to academic achievement, values-based instruction, and students’ overall development distinguishes it as a prominent institution of higher learning.

Given that 2 years were completely swept out in COVID, the cloud infrastructure at Deakin is top-notch. The professors and the student central team are very patient while also replying to emails almost instantaneously. Overall, Deakin provides a great study-work-life balance, at least within its business degrees.

Positive aspects of the university is that I am an online students, which assisted with my time management in regards to being flexible with my other daily task, for example, work and being about to complete my course work at a high standard. The lectures answered all quires in an efficient timely manner.

Negative aspect was having some topics in my course work not being discussed in detail, where I though some topics needed to be more in depth for students to understand the information given.

Studying at Deakin provided me with the foundation for business and societal awareness.

The lectures at tutorials were on point and the professors were very knowledgeable and allowed students to have an open and interactive learning experience
