Study at Deakin University has been a remarkably progressive and student-focused journey that truly prepared me for my career. With its modern campuses across Victoria and a robust online learning platform, the university offers exceptional flexibility for a diverse student body.
What really stood out to me during my time here were the professors and the vibrant campus life.
Teaching staff consistently went above and beyond: they were approachable, highly supportive, and brought valuable real-world industry insights straight into the classroom.
Facilities at the Burwood and Geelong campuses are state-of-the-art, and the lively student clubs and welcoming social hubs made it effortlessly to build a strong community.

As a student, I am not tied to a desk. The Deakin Genie app is like having a personal assistant for my timetable and assignments. The “Deakin Talent” program is a huge part of the identity here. The campus culture feels like a mini city. It’s bustling, very diverse, and has a great food scene

I graduated in 2014, and looking back, uni was a mix of challenge and growth. There were definitely stressful moments with deadlines and exams, but it also pushed me to become more independent and disciplined. I met great people along the way and gained experiences that have stuck with me long after graduating.

Deakin University’s Burwood campus has a modern aesthetic. The faculty is warm, approachable, and genuinely invested in student growth. Outside of classes, I spent most of my time with the Deakin Table Tennis Club, which became my go to community on campus. Deakin also offers amazing on-campus opportunities, including internships and industry programs; I personally took part in the Deakin Business Development Clinic, which gave me real world experience while studying.
