Starting my university journey at Forward College in Lisbon has been a unique experience so far. What initially attracted me to Forward was the opportunity to study in an international environment while developing both academically and personally. The possibility of living and studying in Lisbon, Paris, and Berlin over three years was also a major reason I chose this college.
One of the things I appreciate most is the international community. Meeting people from different countries and backgrounds gives you the opportunity to learn from others, exchange perspectives, and step outside your comfort zone. Living abroad has also encouraged me to become more independent and open-minded.
The teaching approach is another aspect that makes Forward different from a traditional university. Classes are more interactive, with an emphasis on discussion, critical thinking, collaboration, and applying what you learn. I also appreciate the focus on personal development and practical skills alongside academic learning.
Of course, moving to a new country and adjusting to university life comes with challenges. You have to become more independent, manage your time effectively, and adapt to a different learning environment. However, these experiences are also valuable opportunities for growth.
Overall, I would recommend considering Forward College if you are looking for an international university experience, enjoy learning about different cultures, and want to challenge yourself both inside and outside the classroom. As I am still in my first year, I am looking forward to seeing how much I will continue to learn and grow throughout the rest of the programme.
