I studied post graduate diploma in professional writing at Deakin University, Melbourne and my experience has been transformative. Coming from a technical background and just with a passion for writing, the course curriculum was well-structured and helped me hone my writing skills. My professors were mostly seasoned industry professionals, who were always there to offer guidance and valuable insights throughout my journey. Additionally, Deakin’s vibrant campus environment and numerous extracurricular activities enriched my overall learning experience, fostering a sense of community among students.

Deakin University has been the perfect choice that prepared me to embark on a successful career in the world of professional writing.

As a country girl, I was nervous to move to such a big university. The tutors are amazing at communicating with individual students though, and are understanding of individual circumstances. There’s plenty of opportunities to get to know people, and despite how large the university is, it’s easy to find your place there.
