If you’re considering studying a Master in Management, then your choice of business school is critical. The right course will give you the skills you need to succeed in your chosen field and introduce you to a network for life. But with so many business schools in France, how do you know which one is right? To help you make your decision, let’s take a look at the Master in Management at EDHEC Business School.

EDHEC has a long history in management education, going right back to 1906. Today, it’s not just well-known in France, but also around the world for the quality of its business programmes and international campuses.

Their Master in Management (MiM) degree – also known as the Grande Ecole programme – is a flagship business Masters for young business professionals who want to take their career to the next level. The Financial Times ranked EDHEC’s Master in Management fourth worldwide in their MiM ranking this year, proof that it’s one of the best programmes available to students.

But why should you consider the Master in Management – Grande Ecole at EDHEC Business School? Here are the top five reasons.

Tailor your education experience

In a Master in Management, you’ll study a wide range of subjects to help prepare you for a career in company leadership. Typical modules include finance, business management, marketing, tech & data, sustainability, innovation, and entrepreneurship.

At the same time, you’ll have the opportunity to tailor your EDHEC Master in Management experience to your future career with specialisation tracks. If you’re someone who already knows the sector you’d like to work in one day – be it finance or business management – then gaining advanced knowledge in that area can help you stand out from the crowd.

In the Master in Management at EDHEC, students begin studying their chosen specialisation track from day one of the programme. Each track takes place at a different EDHEC campus, further personalising your journey.

On the Global Master in Management – GETT programme, students gain worldwide exposure via two pathways: the USA/Asia pathway (studying in South Korea and the USA) and the Europe pathway (studying in Germany and the UK).

This ability to personalise the Master in Management across location and subjects means students can fully prepare for a future career, wherever they want to land.

Great experience

Courses are varied and include both theoretical and practical examples.

Professors include many ‘real life’ examples from the business world (like case studies). Students are also given some projects throughout each year.

The school is continuously developing partnerships with other universities all over the world and even offers exclusive international programmes with some of them.

Top companies come to the campus many times each year, with occasional exclusive recruitment sessions. They also participate to a yearly career fair (exclusively for EDHEC students) with over 120 companies.

The student union life is particularly developed. There are numerous unions in many fields.

Best Career services in Europe

EDHEC has one of the best career centre teams globally. They have a curriculum based on real-life case studies rather than just books. The Master’s in Management program is a really exciting program since it offers you the opportunity to apply the skills you learn by doing two internships of 6 months each during the gap year. I would certainly recommend this school for someone who’s looking for top-quality education and a totally international experience.

Gain practical work experience while you study

The Financial Times ranks EDHEC Business School number one in France for Career Services and Alumni Network in its 2024 Master in Management ranking, and the school prioritises practical learning on its Master in Management.

All students in the Master can take a professional immersion year in their second year of study, allowing them to gain a full year of work experience before they graduate. This valuable opportunity helps students apply their academic knowledge in a real-world business setting, build a professional network, and enhance their employability. By the time they complete their degree, they’ll have the skills, experience and confidence to thrive in their chosen careers.

Alternatively, students can opt for the apprenticeship track of the MiM, which alternates between in-classroom learning and on-site work experience.

Whichever track you choose, your curriculum will also include practical learning experiences such as case studies and corporate projects.

It’s not just organisations that rank EDHEC highly for job preparation – EDUopinions student reviewers consider it one of the best schools in France for career prospects.
