Trinity Business School was founded in 1925 and is now amongst The Economist’s top 100 business schools. How to Apply to Trinity Business School

The application procedure at Trinity Business School varies based on the level of study, programme, and whether the applicant is from the European Union or outside of it. Undergraduate applicants will first need to make sure that they satisfy the minimum entry requirements. These include meeting minimum matriculation requirements, age requirements (born before 2003), English language requirements, and other requirements more specific to their course of study. The requirements for non-EU students may include further or slightly modified requirements. Applications for Master’s programmes usually require relevant Undergraduate backgrounds, a CV, two academic referees, optional work experience, and an English competency exam. The closing dates for these programmes are mostly around June 2019. For all programmes, though, applicants need to create an online application.

Funding Your Studies at Trinity Business School

The tuition fees at Trinity Business School vary according to the level of study pursued. For undergraduate programmes, EU students may qualify for free studying or will have to pay no more than approximately 3,000 EUR. For this level of study, a non-EU student will, however, pay upwards of 17,000 EUR. Undergraduate programmes are four years long and on a full-time basis.

The tuition fees for Master’s programmes also vary according to EU residence. The maximum fees for these programmes reach 34,500 EUR. Master’s programmes typically last one year and are full-time.

The Doctoral programme charges 6,468 EUR for EU residents and 10,663 EUR for non-EU residents for full-time studies in one year. EU students can pay tuition fees on a flexible basis whereas non-EU students are required to pay a lump-sum.

Many scholarships and awards are available to successful candidates. Bachelor’s level scholarships and awards open to EU and non-EU residents include the Bachelor in Business Studies Scholarship (ranging from 5,000 to 25,000 EUR), the Foundation Scholarship (where students enjoy living perks such as free rooms), the Trinity Business Student of the Year Award, the David Feldman Prize, the Patrick O’Sullivan Prize, the Abd El-Motaal Book Prize, the Price Waterhouse Coopers Prize, and the Trinity Business Alumni Prize.

Applications for these scholarships and prizes usually include submitting your CV and/or resume alongside a 200-word statement on why you should get the scholarship/award.

There is also a scholarship awarded to successful Master’s candidates with which they can receive up to 5,000 EUR and scholarships specific to Trinity Business School’s Master’s in Business Administration programme, including the GMAT Merit Scholarship (offering a reduction in fees), the 30% Club Scholarship for Women in Leadership, the Seamus McDermott Entrepreneurship Scholarships (two worth 10,000 EUR each), the Social Impact Scholarships (four worth 10,000 EUR each), and the Trinity MBA Alumni Bursary (with a 15% reduction in fees).

To apply for these, fill out the Scholarship Application Form and send it to the designated office.

Finally, students in the Doctoral Programme can apply for the postgraduate Ussher Fellowships, Postgraduate Studentships, and other potential sources of funding when applying for the PhD programmes.

Student Life at Trinity Business School

Trinity Business School boasts a varied and rich student life. There are many housing options available to students, ranging from on-campus sites (on average 175 EUR per week) to Trinity Hall, Kavanagh Court, or Binary Hub. In the framework of Trinity College Dublin, there are 50 sports clubs, offering sports such as aikido and camogie, and 120 societies, ranging from the Agriculture Society to the Jazz Society. There are so many great restaurants, fast-food joints, cafés and bars around the campus, that you will find it hard to make up your mind! Finally, the campus is a walking distance away from Silicon Docks, Europe’s headquarters for high-tech companies.
