What I love the most about Boğaziçi is of course the amazing campus and the view of the beautiful Bosphorus. The campus life in Boğaziçi is what I will miss the most when I graduate. I also really enjoy my degree, I like the quality of the courses that are taught in my department. The professors are available and easy to communicate with most of the time. The student clubs are also very active and I’m lucky to be a part of the activities organized by the clubs. The workload is usually way more than the other European universities but it only allows you to achieve more and learn more.
I graduated from the Bilgi University Economics Program in 2013. I think it was very experimental for both educationally and socially. Especially for economics program, The university has very successful and famous professor. I think one of the good things about our program; First two years we had only main economics core courses, but the last 2 years beside economics lessons we had a chance to choose selective courses for both Economics Program and other faculty's courses which is very cool. Because you can specify your academic career by your own choices. I took Business Administration lessons beside economics and it helped me to apply and graduated marketing master program at the very good University in Switzerland. The other good thing about our university is social activities, friendly environment and network. If you are looking for educationally and socially good university definitely you should check it out Bilgi University. Also living and experiencing Istanbul is the other good thing why you should need to check Bilgi University.
Özyeğin University offers excellent academic quality — the courses are well-structured and really do shape you into an educated person. The campus itself is beautiful, but somewhat isolated. However, for the tuition fees paid, you would expect better support and flexibility in services provided. Unfortunately, over time many of these services became more limited and less accessible, which has added unnecessary stress to the student experience. One of the biggest disappointments for me as a foreign student was the language barrier in supposedly English-taught programs. It is frustrating and discouraging to attend a class where the professor and majority of the students default to Turkish — leaving you at a clear disadvantage and often missing important details. This completely undermines the concept of an international program. On top of that, the university frequently changes its rules in ways that complicate students' situations year after year, making it harder to plan your academic path. Interacting with the administrative staff can also be very difficult and frustrating. While campus life is active and the university organizes many events, they are mostly conducted in Turkish, which further limits participation for foreign students. I was also surprised at the lack of fluency in English among professors, students, and staff — which makes you question how a local and an international student are expected to compete on the same level when the learning experience is not equal. In short, while the education is excellent, the university is not as international or inclusive as it promotes itself to be, and foreign students should be aware of these challenges before enrolling.
My overall experience at Bahçeşehir University (BAU) has been very positive. The university provides a modern learning environment with strong academic support and many opportunities to grow professionally. I studied Computer Engineering, and I appreciated how the programme focused on both theory and practical skills. Many courses were taught by experienced instructors who were approachable, supportive, and knowledgeable. What I liked most about BAU was the access to hands-on projects, industry connections, and opportunities to participate in real-world work through collaborations, competitions, and internships. The atmosphere is diverse, and you meet students from many different countries, which helps you build communication and teamwork skills. On the downside, the workload can be heavy during some semesters, and administrative processes can occasionally be slow. However, the overall quality of education and the support you receive make up for it. I would recommend BAU to students who want a modern, internationally-oriented university that helps them become job-ready with practical experience and strong academic foundations.

We didn't have a real campus life but the school was close to the city center so it was okay for me. I really liked that the teacher were interested in really helping you and teaching you. Courses were well organised.
