The school has great facilities and modern equipment. Teachers have huge amount of knowledge and are well informed about new technologies. The studying is made mostly in a way that the student doesn't have to buy expensive books or equipments. Also the school is really investing on being international and there is lot of collaboration between different schools from different countries although they should advertise about exchange programs more.
I consider UPSA as the first option for many people to carry out their studies for the simple fact of being the best university in the city. A UPSA professional has many privileges, as an institution motivates its students to be the best. As well as good things, it also has its drawbacks; the fact that it is a private university, its cost is very high and each year it tends to continue to rise. On the other hand, in my opinion, I believe that being the number one university, it should have more special offers for its students, such as being a student residence or dorms, and it could also have special transport for students since its location is not very central.
A school with a great potential. Absence of certain infrastructure may limit a students learning and research ability but on the whole, a very worthy experience. There is also need to motivate the lecturers.
Akwa Ibom State University is one of the prestigious institution in Nigeria. The University has shaped thousands of grads into world impacting leaders and mentors in their respective field. It has through through highly intelligent lecturers ascertain the transfer of knowledge meaningfully. But, I must say, there are also some slack to the functionality. The University follows a defined curriculum which every year, same things, same way, same courses were taught in the same classroom. It doesn't give chance to keep track of new discoveries or probably push students to discovering one. Student are more or less pressured to cram and digest when required. There's no avenue to give individual perspective but same thing was given by the lecturers. To the end, if I was the leadership of the University, I would ensure the review of the curriculum give chance to new discoveries and then encourage the students to do something with what they learn even while in school.
First off, since it is a state university the tuition is free, and students are not paying anything. However, because it is a public university I sometimes notice deficiencies in its facility. But aside from that, I can't say anything else that is bad about it. Quality education overall.
