View moreI am a Finance student at RMIT, and to be honest, it is a tough subject. The program is very heavy on calculations, financial modelling, investment analysis and corporate finance. If you are not good at math or are not used to working with Excel, it will be a struggle.
However, because it is difficult, I learned a lot. This major helps me practice logical thinking, data analysis skills and understand deeply how financial markets work. Some subjects use Bloomberg Terminal or real case studies, which are very useful to prepare for future work.
What makes me “tired” the most is the fast learning pace, lots of homework and tight deadlines. Working in groups is also a challenge if you have an uneven team.
In conclusion, if you are serious about a career in banking, investment or financial analysis, Finance at RMIT is worth studying. Although it is hard work, the knowledge and skills gained are completely worth it.
