The UCV. My UCV. Go, it’s a good university! The least I can express about it is my infinite gratitude. The UCV forges you as a being and ethical and moral professional, well prepared, updated and also as a good citizen. Its headquarters, the campus of the University City of Caracas was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2000, is an open-air museum of outstanding works of art of the 20th century. The University Hospital of Caracas was the 1st in America Latina for many years. My person, medical student of the Luis Razetti School, of which medical graduates have been graduated, reason for pride and recognition, based on my personal experience I can record the excellent teachers who day after day demand us the maximum and impart your knowledge in order that we provide a quality health service and continue researching to generate knowledge to society. The last two decades the university has been persecuted, destroyed and unhappy by a dictatorship of the vilest that the modern world has known and the students, professors and administrative and labor personnel have had to resist it to maintain the functioning of the institution . Is it easy? Not at all, and in addition to the political, economic and social crisis that is currently happening in Venezuela, the pursuit of academic activities is not simple, and even more so the activities of research and extension. However, the will of the guilds that work there and their students, make the university a flash to the latter at the end of the darkest night, the living flame of hope that will raise the country, to Venezuela, after this period gloomy of obscurantism that plagues the ideals and freedoms of thought. I know that perhaps for some this is not a correct opinion of the university. But the UCV is due to the country, and being a good UCVista and Venezuelan means reporting what hurt our Alma Mater. It is our mission. We must continue to overcome the shadow!
