Wright State University (reviews)

Its name honours Orville and Wilbur Wright. They are two aviation pioneers from Dayton, who invented the world’s first successful aeroplane.

In 2017, the school celebrated its 50th anniversary. Additionally, it created an anniversary website. It highlights the most important achievements in its history.

Academics at Wright State

Wright State offers Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees as well as doctoral studies. The university is divided into eight colleges. You can study Arts and Humanities, Life Sciences, Engineering and others.

Do you know what the most impressive aspect of the university is? It received accreditation from the Higher Learning Commission accredited at the doctoral degree-granting level.

Moreover, the institution provides two special programmes: Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) and  Army ROTC.

Life as a Wright State Student

Without a doubt, the first thought that should cross your mind when you hear Wright State is Greek life! You have more than ten fraternities and sororities looking for new members. Be the next one!

Another good aspect is related to its libraries. There are four libraries at Wright State University – Paul Laurence Dunbar Library, the Lake Campus Learning Center, the Student Technology Assistance Center (STAC),  and Special Collections and Archives. Anyone can study or enjoy reading a book!
