Westminster College was quite the experience for me! The school itself is tucked away on this beautifully curated campus, complete with Emigration Creek running through the campus, a covered bridge, up-to-date and new facilities, and an active faculty and staff that truly take an interest in their students. The Nursing program is one of the top programs in the western US. The programs can be small, but this is ideal if a student thrives in a more intimate environment.
I enrolled in the History program and found that my interests were supported. With the help of my professors and the Library staff, we were able to craft a curriculum and experiences that would nurture my interests and education. For the larger programs, I think you can still garner a similar experience. The school itself works hard to aid students in finding the money to afford their education, provides students with ample opportunities to explore their interests, meet their peers, and get to know the area. As a mature student, I was concerned about finding the kind of support older students may need. And I felt that Westminster took the time to ensure that I was able to have a positive experience. I thought the classes were interesting, and it was difficult to choose which courses to take. There were a number of opportunities I wanted to experience, but I was unable to complete them due to my impending graduation.
