Excellent professors, a very welcoming environment throughout the course, I had nothing to complain about. Campus life was amazing.

The teaching methods used in the classes help us understand very clearly what is being taught.

My experience here as a funded PhD student has been highly positive, largely thanks to my advisor. The administration, specifically within the School of Computing, is incredibly supportive. The CS department provides a wide variety of courses across different tracks, and the research environment is outstanding—particularly the visualization labs (SCI). That said, if the university wants to climb the rankings and compete as a top-tier institution today, it needs to significantly increase its focus on AI. Even with that in mind, I highly recommend this university to anyone considering a PhD here.

The campus is absolutely stunning and a really accessible commuter school for those who do not want to live on campus. It has incredible outdoor recreation access. Overall the University of Utah is a great place. I feel their orientation and freshmen advisors could better prepares students for workplace readiness and encourage them to pursue programs that are actually valuable in the workplace.

In my opinion, the University of Utah is a highly commendable institution to attend due to its numerous advantages. The campus possesses vast potential, boasts a fantastic location, and is inhabited by amiable individuals including an exceptional staff. The level of expertise and support exhibited by my instructors is unparalleled, making me genuinely relish attending classes and engaging with my peers. They furnish exceptional education and go above and beyond to ensure that we receive the necessary assistance whenever required.
