Western Washington University (reviews)

Western Washington school is a good school in a lot of ways. It is very open to all identities and makes all feel welcomed. I am in the journalism program and it is a very competitive but uplifting program at WWU. People are open to ideas and willing to hear what you have to say. The professors are extremely helpful, and office hours are very flexible! The three main newspapers are very well written and edited and a blast to be a part of. It is part of the major to at least write for the main newspaper The Front, but for the other two, Klipsun and The Planet, you can be about of for the environmental journalism major or just for fun. All in all pretty good experience so far, excited to learn more.

Am having a really good experience at this university. The instructors are great and the leaning facilities are among the best i have seen. The university is set up to make you succeed in your field of interest and prepares you for your career.

Western is much like the beautiful Bellingham that surrounds it: accommodating, changing, and open. Although any university experience will provide the opportunity to grow, Western has given me the tools to follow the pathway that is best for me. It has taken courage to seek it, but once they are sought out, all the resources to grow and make a change for yourself and the community are abundant.
