I’ll be honest and say that WCU was not my first choice in school. I made other decisions and only transferred to West Chester after a couple of years of collegiate experience. But WCU certainly made up for a lost time, and the only regret I have about transferring is that I didn’t make the decision earlier! Everything about the school instantly let me know that this would be my final scholastic destination. The campus is beautiful and inviting, the student body is diverse and everyone always seems so happy! Speaking of the student body, to me, it is the exact perfect size. It’s not too big that I felt overwhelmed, but it’s not too small that I felt suffocated. It’s just right! My professors are all extremely knowledgeable and they really have been ready, willing, and able to go the extra mile whenever I had a question or was confused about an assignment. The class sizes were never too large that which took away from the professors’ ability to connect to the students on an individual level. Socially, WCU is placed right in the heart of an up-and-coming and always bustling town, with plenty of bars, restaurants, cafes, etc to provide ample entertainment outside of the classroom. All in all, I guess you could say West Chester University is still a bit of a “hidden gem”, but it’s clear that this beauty shouldn’t stay secret for long!
