Good campus life
The University of West Florida is in a great location. It is a tourist attraction for many outside the area. Summers are very active in this area. Downtown Pensacola promotes many activities with arts and theater performances. There are also many times of the year when they close the streets for block parties involving vendors to promote their craft. The new downtown stadium has had a huge impact on the sports arena. Downtown Civic Center always has new attractions in the area; they now also operate ice hockey and ice skating during the winter months.
