I am currently studying Health Science at the University of the People, and my experience has been both challenging and rewarding. One of the things I appreciate most about UoPeople is the flexibility of its online learning model. As a student with other responsibilities, being able to study remotely and organize my learning around my schedule has been very helpful.
The university also provides an opportunity to interact with students from different countries and backgrounds. Through discussion forums, assignments, peer interactions, and course activities, I have been able to develop my communication, research, teamwork, and critical-thinking skills.
Studying online requires discipline and good time management. The workload can sometimes be demanding, particularly when several assignments and activities are due around the same period. However, these challenges have helped me become more organized and independent as a learner.
My Health Science studies have also increased my understanding of public health, nutrition, health promotion, and the factors that influence people’s well-being. I believe these areas are important not only for a career in healthcare but also for contributing positively to communities.
Overall, my experience at UoPeople has given me the opportunity to continue my education while managing other responsibilities. I would recommend it to students who value flexibility, affordability, and an international online learning environment, especially those who are prepared to take responsibility for their own learning.
