University of the People has been a valuable option for me as a Computer Science student because it makes higher education more accessible and flexible. The online learning format allows me to study while managing other responsibilities, and the courses have helped me build knowledge in areas such as programming, networking, communication, and academic research.

I especially appreciate the international community, since students can learn alongside people from different countries and backgrounds. The peer-discussion system encourages participation and exposes you to different perspectives. The tuition-free model is also a major advantage for students who may not be able to afford a traditional university.

However, students should be prepared to be disciplined and independent. Because learning is online, you need good time-management skills, consistent internet access, and the ability to read course materials carefully. Peer assessments can sometimes vary in quality, but overall they are part of the collaborative learning experience.
