I enrolled at the University of the People because I wanted to earn a Computer Science degree without putting my career on hold. As a full-time IT professional, the flexibility of the program has allowed me to balance work, study, and personal responsibilities.

One aspect that has stood out to me is the discussion-based learning approach. Interacting with classmates from different countries has exposed me to diverse perspectives and made the learning experience more engaging. I’ve also had supportive instructors, including Arslan Akram, whose guidance and constructive feedback encouraged me to think critically and continue improving.

The journey hasn’t been without challenges. Meeting assignment deadlines while working full-time requires discipline and good time management. There have also been financial considerations with assessment fees, but the university’s affordability compared to many traditional institutions has made pursuing my degree possible.

My studies have strengthened both my technical and problem-solving skills, and I’ve been able to apply what I’ve learned directly in my role as an IT professional. The experience has also motivated me to keep learning through webinars, certifications, and practical projects alongside my degree.
