My experience at the University of the People was both challenging and rewarding. As a fully online institution, it required a high level of self-discipline and time management, which helped me become more organized and accountable in my studies.

One of the key strengths was its accessibility and affordability, as it provides tuition-free education while still maintaining accreditation through recognized bodies like the WASC Senior College and University Commission . This made it possible for me to pursue higher education without financial strain.

I also appreciated the diverse global student community. Interacting with peers from different countries broadened my perspective and improved my collaboration and communication skills. The learning model, which relies heavily on discussion forums and peer assessments, encouraged critical thinking and active participation.

However, the experience also had its challenges. Since the program is largely self-directed, there is limited real-time interaction with instructors, and success depends heavily on personal motivation and consistency. At times, administrative processes and support responses could be slower than expected.

Overall, the experience strengthened my ability to work independently, adapt to digital learning environments, and apply knowledge practically—skills that are highly relevant in today’s workplace.
