It has a welcoming and diverse environment where it’s easy to find people and communities you connect with. The professors are highly experienced and supportive. Although some professors and administrators are not so supportive

I would highly recommend the University of North Texas (UNT) for pursuing a master’s degree. The exposure and opportunities in your chosen field of interest are excellent, and the campus life is vibrant and welcoming. Overall, UNT provides a great balance of academics, professional growth, and student life.

THE ARCHAEOLOGY PROFESSORS IN THE MASTERS DEPARTMENT WERE VERY KNOWLEDGABLE AND HELD OUR WORK TO A VERY HIGH STANDARD. WE WERE EXPECTED TO DESIGN AND EXECUTE PERSONAL RESEARCH PROJECTS. THE ARCHAEOLOGY RESEARCH PROJECTS RESULTED IN WRITTEN THESIS AND ORAL EVALUATIONS.

Despite its best efforts, North Texas does not particularly cater to students looking to engage in a stereotypical college culture. The university very rarely allows students to live on campus after their first year, and does not offer much incentive to live near campus. Sports teams are generally below average, and on campus events leave much to be desired.
