    Overall it’s an amazing school

I love how diverse the campus is. You meet at least one person from most countries. To be honest, sometimes there’s robberies late night and that makes some students feel unsafe. I’d definitely go there again.

    Diverse City Environment

UH is a large, diverse urban campus with a practical, career-focused grad vibe. Academics are advisor-driven; the MD Anderson Library and Student Centers make studying easy, and the Rec Center is genuinely good. Most grads live off-campus, use METRORail for quick trips to Downtown/EaDo; nights out near Midtown/Montrose/EaDo. Safety is the usual big-city mix—use common sense—and the tradeoff is access to Houston’s deep industry network (medical, energy, aerospace, data) for research, internships, and jobs.

Lots to learn but little funding and resources

Overall the program is great, there is a lot of opprtunites that can come from the photography and digital media program, however, they don’t really detail what the program is about before you get in and it is very vague. Little funding is toward the arts which can be seen in the state of the fine arts building and the lack of resources. Because of this and im assuming the lack of pay it is hard to keep and professors who really want to teach as they dont make enough to support themselves and the rotation of new professors feels endless.

    Review on business administration program

I recently completed the Business Administration program , and I can confidently say it was one of the most challenging yet rewarding experiences of my academic career.

The program’s curriculum was rigorous and comprehensive, covering a wide range of topics from finance and accounting to marketing and management. The instructors were experienced professionals in their fields, providing valuable insights and real-world examples that helped me connect theoretical concepts to practical applications.

One of the program’s strengths was its emphasis on teamwork and collaboration. Throughout the program, I worked on numerous group projects, developing essential skills in communication, problem-solving, and leadership.

The program also offered excellent networking opportunities, including guest lectures, industry events, and internships. These experiences not only broadened my professional network but also provided valuable exposure to different business environments and cultures.

While the program was demanding, the sense of accomplishment I felt upon completing it was immense. I developed a strong foundation in business principles, critical thinking, and problem-solving, which has prepared me well for my future career.

    Suggestions for Improvement
One area for improvement could be providing more opportunities for hands-on experience, such as consulting projects or entrepreneurship incubators. Additionally, some courses could benefit from more interactive and immersive learning experiences.
