I came to the University of Chicago for my undergraduate degree, with the intent to pursue a law degree. I found that at the University of Chicago there is a wide range of various majors to study, all of which have great potential to be interesting. One point of advice I’d give to anyone thinking of coming here is to remember to be open-minded and fearless. Do not be rigid in choosing your majors, give it time, reach out to advisors at the university (there are plenty and always willing to help), and talk to your peers. Especially if you are on campus, reach out to RA’s and other older students for their insights. Other than that, take time to enjoy the University and the great number of clubs it has to offer. The food gets better I think, or at least maybe you’ll grow used to it. I would suggest trying to live on campus the first and maybe a second year. The first year on campus will give you a greater feel of the Uni and allow you to get to know more people on campus.
