I found my time at CSN to be a very positive experience. Many large universities don’t or can’t prioritize quality time or availability with a professor. At CSN I was always able to get clarification, ask more questions, or be shown what I needed to improve on. The smaller class sizes makes it so that the professor is in reach of students and this is crucial in th elearning experience for many students. I found their catalog of classes very extensive as well; with an option for everyone from all walks of life. The campus itself also had many resources readily available for students and their advertising for it was always clear. I never went a long period of time not knowing the resources available to me on campus.
The only negative I can think of is that I wish student counselors were more active with reaching out to students to keep them on track with their goals and degrees. There were times I felt a bit confused regarding my progress or what I needed to do to not fall off course. If you are one to remember and initiate this shouldn’t be an issue; I believe universities should reach out and make sure their students are meeting requirements in a timely manner.
