The School of Music at Stetson University is an interesting microcosm of the professional music sphere, hybridizing both a conservatory style facility with academic focused curricula. Students are encouraged to devote themselves equally to their practice as much as their studies and are given the support of their professors in doing so, creating bonds that last for many years past their graduation date. The holistic music education approach produces not only capable musicians, but informed and curious artists who continue to grow and develop whether they go onto higher education, focus on their performance career, or forge their own path.
