Student review [#52034] for BSc Psychology
at St. Mary's College of Maryland - SMCM

I attended this school for 2 years after getting my associates degree. The campus is absolutely beautiful and is right by the water. I enjoyed living there as it’s also in a pretty quiet and peaceful area. The food is also AMAZING, they serve new things every day and constantly rotate what they serve, and they have dishes from all types of cuisines.

I graduated from the Psychology program and enjoyed it. It was broad enough that you could go into any more specific field (counseling/clinical, I/O, social, etc.). I learned a lot of really invaluable skills like using SPSS and technical writing. I also got to conduct my own research study as a requirement for my degree; I enjoyed it a lot and it made me realize what I want to do with my future.

The professors are all very good and are LGBTQ /Queer-affirming. I also enjoyed the wide variety of clubs here.

My only complaint is that I wish there was a bit more opportunity for networking, both with alumni and other professionals not related to the school, as this is one of the best and most lucrative ways to find work post-graduation.
