I loved SVA so much, it was truly some of the best years of my life. I went into and left highschool hating the school system, I felt left out, rejected and most of all I felt stupid like the school system wasn’t meant for me to succeed and my talent wasn’t meant for a career or to be followed as a dream. When I got accepted to SVA and began attending classes I was shy and so were the rest of the students but the teachers were quick to mold to us. They were teaching us general education and specified courses and a very personal way. A way where you felt understood and cared about and valued, the critiques were important and beyond useful, the assignments took backroads and ladders to get you to think outside of the box for new solutions in your storytelling, art and everyday life. They taught you how to master your craft specifically and use it uniquely to benefit the world around you and land a job you cared about. My counselor was kind and patient, my friends were supportive and some of my teachers are still my pen pals to this day. I would definitely not only recommend the school but I would most of all recommend to go for it and go to school for something you love you will never know how much you can appreciate and utilize knowledge until you have the opportunity to do so in a safe growing enviorment surrounded by mentors and future friends.
