San Diego State University for my Latin American Studies program was an ideal location to learn about Latina America due to its proximity to the Mexican border and all the cultural sites it had to offer. I had two professors who were pioneers and professionals in their fields of study who were well published and had an impact on me in my professional life long after I graduated from the program. Student facilities at the university were excellent with a modern library housing first rate research materials and publications. the only criticism of the university is that it was more of a commuter school with limited student activities that were usually undertaken after school hours.
