Being a Biology student at San Diego State University has been a mix of excitement and challenge. The program is strong, with plenty of lab work and professors who genuinely care about what they teach… However, some of the classes are tough, real though, especially during exam weeks when it feels like everything hits at once, but the experience makes it worth it anyway. The labs are well equipped, and the research opportunities are great if you’re proactive enough to seek them out.

What I’ve learned is that SDSU pushes you to manage your time and stay curious. It’s not always easy, but if you’re serious about science and want to grow both academically and personally, this place will definitely shape you.

My three years at San Diego University have been truly unforgettable. The university has been instrumental in shaping me into the person I am today, offering countless opportunities for growth through student jobs, diverse societies, internships, and lectures from renowned experts. Beyond academics, the university provides a rich canvas of new experiences. The city itself is a treasure trove of culture, entertainment, and natural beauty, catering to all interests and ages – from vibrant student nightlife to attractions for visiting family members.

I’m a freshman at SDSU, I love the school’s diversity, the friendliness of its professors, and the quality of its programs. Every advisor follows up with their students to ensure that they are on the right track and offers assistance whenever possible. The school also has so many helpful resources that improve students’ experience on campus.

San Diego state university is great in every aspect! Everyone welcomes you with open arms regardless of who you are or your background! Professors are always happy to assist their students. In addition to the assistance of the Professors, there are also free tutors available. There are a lot of opportunities to get engaged on campus therefore student life is always vibrant. Residence halls are beautiful and the food is quite good. I fully recommend this university.

I had amazing moments at SDSU just from the social life to the academic life. The academic system is rigorous and very helpful as it makes every student to put their best foot forward for good results and experience. The professors on the other hand were incredibly amazing. They were very supportive and I never saw them discriminate any student who needed help. I recommend SDSU as it also offers very good accommodation to the students at very friendly rates and the hostels are spacious and decent. Students are also free to live outside the campus

I really like the students. The professors are not as accommodating if you have covid especially the chem department. It is very stressful but tas or professors don’t understand that. This semester has been extremely fast.
