Purdue’s STEM programs are the highlight of the university. They offer a wide range of STEM degrees with lots of support and programs for students. The other programs do not get as much support and are much smaller, but they are very flexible. I changed my major several times and still graduated on time and I know others that have done the same. I was in the school of liberal arts so I had a very different experience than the STEM majors I knew. My professors are what stood out to me. Most of them were deeply passionate about their work and had ample time to discuss topics with students or help them with projects, recommendation letters, or even personal issues. Campus life is good, but it all depends on your personal level of involvement. Purdue can be a quiet and lonely place if you don’t put yourself out there, but that is true of any college. Find your people and you will have a great experience.
