University of the People (UoPeople) is an accredited, low-cost online American university that offers flexible, self-paced programs, making it a practical option for students who need affordability and remote learning. It is especially valued by working adults and international students for its accessibility, but it has notable limitations: the quality of instruction can feel basic, peer-grading is sometimes inconsistent, and the degree’s recognition varies outside the U.S., especially in more traditional or competitive academic environments. While it can serve as a useful stepping stone or a cost-effective way to earn a degree, it does not provide the academic depth, instructor engagement, or global prestige of established universities, so expectations should be aligned with its open-access model.

This university is really amazing. You have to be really keen on your work. They are very responsive and the course materials are well organized. It is a nice experience and I would recommend someone to actually be part of the Uopeople community.
