View moreMy experience at the University of the People has been incredibly positive. The flexibility of the program allowed me to study while working full-time as a cashier, which made it possible for me to pursue higher education without sacrificing my job. I appreciated the well-structured courses, supportive instructors, and the opportunity to collaborate with students from around the world.
What stood out most was the sense of community and encouragement, even though everything is online. The professors were responsive, and the peer assessment system helped me learn from others and improve my own work. I also liked the practical focus of the coursework; it helped me develop skills I could immediately apply in real life.
While the learning pace can be intense at times, it challenged me to grow both personally and academically. I would absolutely recommend UoPeople to anyone looking for a flexible, affordable, and quality education, especially for those who might not have access to traditional universities.

View moreThe University of the People (UoPeople) stands out as an online, non-profit higher education institution with the mission of offering accessible and quality university education to students worldwide. Its model is particularly appealing to those seeking flexibility and good value for money.
One of its greatest strengths is financial accessibility. Tuition fees are significantly lower than traditional universities, and UoPeople also offers various scholarships to help cover costs. This makes it a viable option for many who would otherwise not have access to higher education. Flexibility is also a major draw, with an asynchronous learning model that allows students to balance their studies with work and other responsibilities.
However, it’s important to note that success at UoPeople largely depends on the student’s self-discipline and proactivity. The online environment requires students to be organized, manage their time effectively, and actively seek knowledge. Furthermore, while the institution is accredited and recognized, the learning experience can differ from a traditional on-campus university, with less direct interaction with professors and peers.
In summary, UoPeople is an excellent alternative for those seeking flexible and low-cost higher education. However, prospective students must be aware of the need for strong personal commitment and self-discipline to make the most of the opportunity.
I honestly love UoPeople. It’s been such a game-changer for me. As someone balancing school, work, and family life, I needed a college that fit into my schedule and didn’t leave me drowning in debt. UoPeople has delivered that and more. The flexibility is one of the biggest things that stood out for me. I can do my assignments around my own life, which is something traditional schools never really offered.
The classes are challenging but in a good way they push you to think critically and apply what you’re learning. I’ve taken some really interesting courses, especially in Health Science and Philosophy, that made me see things differently and connect what I’m learning to the real world. The discussions are one of my favorite parts because you get to hear from students all over the world with different experiences and views. It’s eye-opening.
The professors and course instructors are also really supportive. They don’t just grade your work they give feedback that helps you grow. I also really appreciate the peer assessment system. It’s taught me how to give and receive constructive feedback, which honestly made me more confident in my work.
Overall, if you’re looking for a university that’s affordable, flexible, and truly cares about helping you succeed UoPeople is it. It’s not always easy, but it’s absolutely worth it. I’ve grown so much academically and personally since starting here, and I’m proud to be part of this community.
