The student body is incredibly welcoming and supportive, making it easy to get involved and make lifelong friends. The faculty is beyond impressive, with knowledgeable and passionate professors who truly care about their students’ learning and development. Whether I’m collaborating with peers on a project or exploring new topics with professors, I’m constantly growing and developing in ways that will serve me well beyond my time at the university. Overall, I’m thrilled to be a part of such a vibrant and dynamic community that values learning, personal growth, and community.

SBU, while having decent classes and opportunities, unfortunately struggles with the volume of students it takes in. For biology students in particular, they tend to enroll more students than they can handle. This results in many students not being able to enroll in the courses they need and having to delay their graduation.
