Globalisation strengthens the connection between companies from all over the world. It is time people understand the importance of international business.
International business degrees are shaped to give students practical knowledge about different business management practices from all over the world. In addition, candidates are prepared for business careers abroad or in organisations that are engaged in business on a global scale.
Moreover, international business is vital in order to understand different cultures and mindsets and ultimately become a global citizen.
A degree in International Business prepares you for a job in a culturally diverse business environment, which means that any graduate can benefit from opportunities in any country.
The advantage of an International Business course is that you are highly employable for most industries since the majority of skills acquired are transferable.
Candidates studying international business will also gain information and insight about the difficulties of starting and growing businesses from different countries, something which is of utmost importance for anyone who wants to make their business thrive.
International Business is usually a three-year commitment, depending on each university. Lately, there are institutions which offer the possibility of having a ‘sandwich course’, which basically enables the candidates to work abroad for one year in the industry, as part of their studies.
The purpose of the ‘sandwich course’ is to encourage students to step outside their comfort zone and work in a different culture and environment. In this way, they will understand other mentalities, as well as gain relevant working experience in the field.
The experience of going to New York University (NYU) has been transformational. An environment that is conducive to study is created by the lively campus and multicultural community. NYU provides a comprehensive education that goes beyond the classroom thanks to the access to limitless opportunities in the center of New York City. The student experience is further improved by the support services and extracurricular activities. I wholeheartedly endorse NYU as a fantastic university.
View moreNYU is a great school to attend in the city . I am proud to attend such a prestigious university. Yet I feel like as far as professors go the school needs improvement . Not all professors, but majority. I felt as if I was teaching myself the entire year
View moreThe NYU professors are outstanding, so much so that I am still friends with several of them years after graduating. They really do care about their students, and how they learn, and 9/10 you wind up with a fair grader. The staff/structure on the other hand… my advisor told me most people don’t graduate in 4 years. I have no idea where that came from since neither I nor anyone I know graduated in over 4 (I almost graduated in 3). From certain required classes being nearly impossible to get into at the time you need to take, to a lot of other nonsense, it can be hard to navigate. But honestly, so many colleges are like that nowadays, but their professors aren’t even close to as good as the ones at NYU. You WILL learn from them and maybe actually enjoy it?! They are the lifeblood of the school and make it 100% worth it.
View moreWith opportunities to experience, NYU is THE university where every student can try out classes that you would never have thought existed. NYU is also very rigorous and each student is required to be self-disciplined, it is the place for you to think critically and contribute to great conversations.
