Overall, I would rate my programme at the University of Manchester positively from a medical training perspective. The learning environment is academically strong and structured in a way that supports clinical reasoning and evidence based practice.

What stood out most was the quality of teaching and the exposure to a wide range of clinical cases through both academic sessions and placements. The faculty are generally experienced and supportive, and there is a strong emphasis on developing both theoretical knowledge and practical clinical skills.

The university also provides access to good learning resources, simulation facilities, and opportunities for research, which are valuable for medical professional development. Being in a large teaching hospital environment helps with exposure to real world clinical practice.

On the downside, the workload can be quite intense and the pace of learning demanding, which may require strong time management and resilience. At times, administrative communication could also be improved.

Overall, I would recommend the University of Manchester for medical students seeking a rigorous and clinically relevant training programme in a diverse and well resourced academic setting.

This university is great, the lectures go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable and when you first join, there are so many activities and events to take part in for opportunities to make more friends, and it’s just a great way to grow as a person!

I studied engineering and thoroughly enjoyed the course. I live local so travelled into Manchester but the transport links where easy, regular and reliable, generally. The whole experience was enjoyable. The lectures and course content was detailed, thorough and interesting. I found the lecturers very knowledgeable and approachable.

Just Awesome – I love the professors here. They genuinely care about the students and work hard to know you on an individual basis. The classes are challenging, but not too difficult. North Manchester is a small town, though, so if you want to go anywhere fun you have to drive about a half hour to Warsaw. There are plenty of clubs here, and there is something for everyone. Overall, I love the school, the campus, and the students.
