JMU truly is an amazing university with a lot to offer any type of student. The campus is gorgeous, there are always activities going on on campus and around the area, and a lot of great food options! Unfortunately, I have not had the greatest experience socially being that I am from New Jersey. It is super important to keep this in mind when picking a school. I did not care how far I was from home, wanted a big school with lots of school spirit, partying etc. But as time went on, I started to feel left out, like I was missing something I once had. I definitely developed in a good way mentally and physically as a person and those wants and needs changed into other needs, hence why I am coming back home.
