Student review [#36582] for Applied Statistics
at Harvard University

Two great gyms, gyms in the basement of the houses too (at least in the Eliot House). He’s not a big gym guy (New Year’s resolution is to become one – fingers crossed!), but the facilities look pretty good. They also have group classes that students can join for free, such as zumba and indoor cycling, etc. If you can find one that you attend regularly, they’re pretty awesome.
Libraries are huge – Widener stacks are legendary. Cabot is great for us scientists who want to avoid the Lamont crowd. The crowd studying in Lamont can be quite intimidating. Studying the Lamont Cafe is more relaxed, perhaps too relaxed for my taste. Cabot benches are great for naps between classes! 🙂 Tons of activities on campus – Cultural rhythms are my favorite. Ghungroo is great too. * All houses have their own cute little special features (like all pianos in Eliot) and I still haven’t found a home lawn that I didn’t like. Freshman’s ivy garden is pretty awesome – it’s missing and I wish I’d used it more last year! Anenberg resembles Harry Potter’s d-hall. The River Houses overlook the Charles. The classrooms are nice – I only had one I didn’t like, but that was due to the size of the classroom and the overcrowding in the small room.
I love the campus!
