at Georgetown University

I have thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Georgetown University so far and though the departure from the common app is potentially an annoyance, it’s worth it. The Georgetown School of Foreign Service benefits from many of the chief figures in international affairs acting as professors, constant innovation, and exceptional resources and opportunities. Nowhere else does such a razor-sharp and diverse cohort gather under the auspices of rigorous education, but so genuinely aimed at serving the world. Times of global crisis like these are a living testament to the mounting relevance of the school of foreign service as the next generation of professionals is compelled to act against climate change, deepening inequalities, and political paralysis. Now more than ever, the dividends of the university’s 100 years of investment into the school of foreign service are being brought to the fore. A piece of advice: the location in D.C. is excellent, but a bit far from public transport if you don’t have a bike…
