GMU is a great school. While it’s not highly rated, the education here is excellent. I’ve never had a problem with security at Mason. I have to use my ID to enter my building, then to enter the elevator, then the suite, then my room. In-class discussions are encouraged in smaller classes, but even in large classes, professors and TAs are always willing to drop by to answer questions or clarify anything students aren’t sure about. I like Mason because I think he’s the perfect medium. For example, the university is not too big, but it is not a very small college either. Plus the location that makes you feel like you’re in a small town but not more than 20 minutes from a big city. The professors are great! They come from all over the world which is good as it adds to the diversity of the school itself. The workload varies by teacher, class, level, etc. but for the most part it is manageable if you stay organised.
