at Colorado State University

The university has worked really hard to create a safe and healthy environment for its students, and it has been incredibly successful. Nevertheless, not all hazards can be eliminated, and unfortunate events do occasionally occur. The initiatives CSU has taken to make the campus a safer environment, as well as the results they are seeing, have really surprised and astounded me. For instance, students can call Ram Ride, a service for student drivers, if they need a ride while inebriated or otherwise impaired. This eliminates the majority of drunk driving that would otherwise occur. We also have the choice to employ Safe Walk, a program that provides students with the opportunity to feel secure on campus
So that they won’t have to go alone at night, they will be escorted by CSU law enforcement personnel. There are many other excellent programs. Since my school has gone above and above to ensure my safety and the protection of my fellow students, I am confident in my safety at CSU.
